Lesson 2B – Making Business Small Talk

Small Talk

In this class you’ll learn how to start building a relationship with your new colleague or prospective client by talking about everyday issues. We call this making small talk. It can take place in the office environment, while waiting for a meeting to get started or online at the start of a meeting.

To prepare for this class, think about the different types of situations where you need to make small talk. Maybe it’s on your first day in a new job, when you’re visiting a new site/office or when you’re meeting with a prospective client for the first time.
