Welcome to 2017! I hope that over the holiday period you’ve enjoyed some time to breathe, to appreciate where you are and to have fun with the special people in your life.
On my holiday, I had the chance to visit Marysville which, as you may remember, was devastated by the Black Saturday Fires on 7 Feb 2009. It was amazing to see all the regrowth and rebuilding that has taken place over the last 5 years or so and it made me aware of how important it is to have big dreams.
So, for me, similar to many of you, this year is all about taking new adventures and making time to enjoy life even more than before.
I’ve felt so happy reading and hearing about so many people in this community who have already shared exciting news this year… a few of you are getting married or are expecting babies and some are starting new jobs.
Congratulations to all of you! I can’t wait to hear more great stories over the coming months.
I’ve also heard some of the challenges and sadness that some of you are going through and I admire your bravery and fortitude. Just remember, this too shall pass.
As you slowly get back into your daily routines try to live your life “on purpose” or according to the goals you have set for yourself. Make time to check-in with yourself each day, each week or each month and ask yourself, “How am I doing?”
And before your daily tasks begin to take over your thoughts, remember to set your 2017 goals. Dream Big – you never know what you can achieve!
See you soon
