Celebrate your successes !

merry-christmas-and-best-wishes-for-2017

I remember when I chose to leave London almost 14 years ago many friends said to me, “You’re so lucky moving to Australia!” but I didn’t think of it that way.

I had made a choice to move far away from friends and family to a country on the other side of the world where I hardly knew anyone and very few people knew me. Why?

All I knew was that I wanted a better lifestyle, to be surrounded by more positive people and more sunshine. I had no idea how much effort I’d have to put in to make it happen.

Most of you will know what’s involved in building a new life in a new country with little or no support. It takes guts, strength and commitment. I imagine, like me, there are some days when you question why you’ve made the choice you have. So, it’s important that you always remember your “why”.

As we all race towards the end of the year and look forward to some well-deserved holiday time, make time to think about all the reasons why you wanted to come to Australia and think about how you, and they, have changed.

Then, think about what you’ve achieved this year and take some time to celebrate your successes.

Over the past few weeks I have made time to do what I enjoy most…to just catch up with a few past clients to hear about what they’re doing and what they’re planning for the next few years.

Whether you have improved your English, completed your studies, been offered a new job, made new friends, met a new partner, moved to a new home, got married, bought property, had family come to visit from overseas or become an Australian resident/citizen these are all huge achievements. I hope you feel incredibly proud!

This week, make a DONE list for 2016, then make your to-do list for 2017. LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Thank you for continuing to support my business and for giving me a reason to jump out of bed every morning and allowing me to do what I enjoy most… help amazing people to achieve their dreams.

I wish you a happy Christmas and a healthy and peaceful 2017.

See you soon!
